Sorry bro..this might be a stupid question for u but for me i really need this info...what are the use of focus ring..try to play arround (turn to left and right) but nothing happened????

in the camera set the Focusing to MF or Manual Focus.. u'll notice u'll be able to manual focus with the lens...

nothing is happening when you turn the focus ring probably becuase your AF mode is set to S-AF(spot) or C-AF(continous). if you want to manually change the focus you gotta change your AF mode to either MF or S-AF + MF.
