Sigh, my pc at home GONE..:duh:. Mutha bord burned. Dunno what else affected.. hopefully my 2 gigantic HDD survive the blast.

The only time I had that was when my home was struck with lightning. It fried my phone, TV and PC.

last year my pc kong, took down the mobo, 1 ram stick (another survived), hard disk and mouse. i don't know how come the cpu survived but the mouse died.

maybe other parts are ok....
can try find 2nd hand motherboard at lowyat plaza... :)

at least wont b as expensive as getting whole new system

boo hoo hoo..
mobo, cpu, ram, hdd fried.. power survived.. base of comp is damp.. suspect someone spill/splash water to my mobo!!! there goes 1k of new hdd.. i wonder can get warranty claim since not lightning strike..

*my side casing is open for the fan to blow..*

sigh.. culprit cannot sue/claim.. suspects are underage.. my nieces.. they will go play with my comp and do their homework in the room.. sigh.. the parents say will compensate but didn't hope for much..

That's super bad news. But why didn't backup your photos to DVD? Try to claim warranty on the HDDs if there is no burnt marks on them. Just say they suddenly can't work.

Like that cannot lar... They will know when a HDD is burnt even if you wipe the black soot off.

However, there is a chance to save your data. Don't throw away those HDDs.
