Hi All,
Let This Be A lesson For Those Who Yearn For More Pixels and Large Sensors.......With Big Sensors Comes Big Noise Hassle's, Look What This Production Model A900'S Noise Level Has. There is a Buzz in the Dpreview Sony's Slr Forum Regarding The Noise Level In The Test Pics....Even Imaging Resources Has The Same Conclusion!.....So Be Happy That You Have A 4/3 Sensor, and Learn To Be Satisfied in Life......Here's The Sample at ISO 800 To 3200. I Think It's Good Up To ISO 800, From there Onwards Noise Creeps In.........Thanks....Uncle James.

All Pics From Dpreview.com.

there is no use to have large pixels but still suffering noisy image on high ISO...
big-full-frame sensor but noise like 'small' 4/3 sensor...

With big pixel density comes big noise... with such a big pixel count (24MP) my guess that this cam is probably targeted to studio applications where high ISO is rarely used. Also when going 20+MP i think might as well go for MF digital.. larger sensor size equals less noise. similar number of pixels but spread over a larger area. Looking at ISO3200, yes its noticable but looks like mostly luminance noise, so not too bad IMO.
